The World's Greatest Thank You Note I just stumbled accross this image, and decided the story was funny enough to post here. In 12th grade, I once lent my friend Lynn $25 to buy a sweatshirt. The shirt said "Lonelyville", which is a real town on Fire Island where another friend Katie has a beach house. Anyway, a few days later in our microeconomics class, Lynn hands me this. I scanned it so the insanity/beauty of getting my money and message in one sheet (with copious scotch tape) would be preserved. Then I proceeded to recover the money, which took about 2 hours. Oh, and many praises to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. US cash is about the most resilient paper product I have ever encountered. Not one bill ripped in the process of extraction. The coins didn't either, but that's to be expected.
